Effect: Negates the first Grievous Wound of the scene (damage still applies).
Hardened armor is built to absorb a single catastrophic impact before buckling: overlapping plates, reinforced cores, sacrificial layers. The damage from the Grievous Wound still happens; the wound itself does not. Once the protection is spent, the armor reverts to its normal AR for the remainder of the scene.
