Traits
- Foresight: Cannot be Surprised. +2 dice to Initiative rolls. The Archivist has already seen this moment.
- Fragile Frame: −1 die to all physical actions. Years of study and Erosion have left their body wasted.
Abilities
- Channel Pool 7 (ECHO 4, Channel 3). Known Talents (Seer):
- - *Glimpse* (R1): Reroll one die after any roll.
- - *The Fatal Reading* (R2): Target suffers −2 dice to all actions (Fear effect) for the scene.
- - *Object Reading* (R3): Touch an object and see its history — key events, previous owners, how it was used. Duration: 1 minute per Step.
- - *Thread-Walker* (R4): Teleport to any visible point within Far range. Arrives silently, trailing violet light.
The keepers of prophecy — Seers who have spent decades studying the Silver Thread of possible futures until the distinction between “now” and “then” has blurred into irrelevance. Archivists are pale, thin, and slightly disconnected from consensus reality. They finish your sentences. They duck before the shot is fired. They cry at jokes that haven’t been told yet.
Most Archivists have lost at least one Memory to their visions. Their eyes have a faint violet tinge — the telltale sign of advanced Erosion — and their skin is cool to the touch. They are simultaneously the Circle’s greatest asset and its greatest vulnerability.
Speed 5.
Tactics
The Archivist never engages in melee. They use Thread-Walker to maintain distance, Fatal Reading to debuff the greatest threat, and Glimpse to keep allies alive. If cornered, they Thread-Walk to safety. If captured, they cooperate — and feed their captors prophecies designed to manipulate future events in the Circle’s favor.
Morale
Normal. Archivists value survival because their knowledge dies with them. They will retreat, negotiate, or surrender before they will die fighting.
