Effect
After any combat encounter or when exploring ruins, wreckage, or abandoned structures, you may make a SAVVY + Scrounge check (TN 11). On success, you find one useful item the GM would not have otherwise included — a forgotten box of ammunition, a flask of clean water, a map fragment, a half-used medical kit. The item’s Cost Rating cannot exceed the location’s danger tier (safe settlement = Cost 1, dangerous ruins = Cost 2, Veil-touched location = Cost 3).
Special
Ruin Reader: Before the party searches a ruin or wreckage site, you can spend 10 minutes assessing the scene. The GM tells you whether the site has been picked clean, what type of goods might remain (mechanical, medical, weapons, documents), and whether anything dangerous is hidden among the salvage (traps, unstable structures, dormant Veil-Born).
