The base cost (frontmatter) is 2 Strain and 1 HP — you’re pumping your own vitality into them. Per the source, Steps that increase the heal also increase the HP damage you take 1-for-1 above the base.

Special

Unlike Knit Flesh (which heals more but takes longer and costs Strain per HP healed), Blood Rouse is an emergency restart. It’s fast, brutal, and costs you something real. Flesh Shapers who use this frequently develop chronic fatigue — their bodies remember what they’ve given away.
