Effect
You transform yourself for the rest of the scene. This is the modular/utility transformation — choose 2 Mutations from the table below. Each Mutation grants a specialized capability for a specific role or environment.
| Mutation | Effect |
|---|---|
| Bone Blades | Unarmed attacks: WR 4, Bleed quality |
| Chitin Skin | Gain AR 3 (doesn’t stack with worn armor) |
| Elongated Limbs | Melee reach extends to 4 meters |
| Gills | Breathe underwater |
| Nightvision | See in complete darkness |
| Venom Glands | Unarmed attacks inject poison (GRIT TN 11 or 2 damage/turn for 3 turns) |
| Wall-Crawler | Climb any surface at normal Speed |
| Regeneration | Heal 1 HP at start of each of your turns |
Steps
+1 additional Mutation per Step.
Requirement
Social Cost: You are visibly monstrous. Social interaction with non-allies is impossible. Redeemers will attack on sight.
Special
Aftermath: When the scene ends, you take 1d3 Strain as your body snaps back.
Distinct From Apex Predator: Chimera Form is modular — pick the right tools for the job (Gills for water, Wall-Crawler for stealth, Venom Glands for assassination). Apex Predator is fixed combat power.
An active Chimera Form can be ended early by Reality Anchor (BS R4) or The Citadel (BS R5).
