Effect
When you do a significant favor for an NPC (save their life, give them valuable information, cover for them), you may formally invoke the Debt. The NPC gains the “Indebted” status in the GM’s notes. At any future point, you may call in the Debt for one favor of equivalent value. The NPC may refuse — but they know, and you know, and everyone in town will know they broke their word.
Limit
You can maintain a maximum of 3 active Debts at a time. Calling in a Debt clears it.
