Effect
Trigger: A creature within Close range begins Channeling a psionic Talent.
The caster must make an immediate Focus check (ECHO + Focus vs. TN 11) or their Channeling is Disrupted. This functions identically to Disruption by Salt — automatic, brutal, and immediate.
Resist
The triggering caster rolls ECHO + Focus vs. TN 11 (modified by Steps). On success they continue Channeling normally; on failure their Talent fails and they take 1 Strain feedback per the standard Disruption rules.

+1 TN to the caster’s Focus check per Step.
Special
Unlike Disruption by damage (which requires hitting the target first), Disrupt is a psychic interference pulse that doesn’t require a physical attack. Range is limited to Close — you must be near the caster. Subject to the Bastion Soul Reaction Convention.
