Effect

Make a single declarative statement about reality, and it becomes true. The statement must be:

  • Specific (not abstract)
  • Achievable within the laws of physics (the Current bends fate, not matter)
  • Limited in scope

Examples:

  • “The next bullet fired in this room misses.”
  • “The rope holding the chandelier snaps.”
  • “The guard changes his mind about checking this room.”
  • “The storm arrives in the next five minutes.”

Requirement

The statement cannot directly kill, resurrect, or teleport. It manipulates circumstance, not substance.

Special

Fate’s Decree is the Seer equivalent of a wish — and like all wishes, the universe interprets it with hostile literalism. “The next bullet misses” might mean the shot goes wide and kills a bystander. “The storm arrives” might bring a Veil Rupture with it. The GM is encouraged to honor the decree but introduce unforeseen consequences.
