Effect
Make a single declarative statement about reality, and it becomes true. The statement must be:
- Specific (not abstract)
- Achievable within the laws of physics (the Current bends fate, not matter)
- Limited in scope
Examples:
- “The next bullet fired in this room misses.”
- “The rope holding the chandelier snaps.”
- “The guard changes his mind about checking this room.”
- “The storm arrives in the next five minutes.”
Requirement
The statement cannot directly kill, resurrect, or teleport. It manipulates circumstance, not substance.
Special
Fate’s Decree is the Seer equivalent of a wish — and like all wishes, the universe interprets it with hostile literalism. “The next bullet misses” might mean the shot goes wide and kills a bystander. “The storm arrives” might bring a Veil Rupture with it. The GM is encouraged to honor the decree but introduce unforeseen consequences.
