Mindweavers using Surface Read or similar Talents sense a “wall” when they touch your mind — they know you’re protected. Iron Will does NOT defend against biological effects (Vital Read, Empathic Anatomy, Boil Blood) — those bypass mental defenses entirely. The fortress is in your head, not your bloodstream.
