Effect

You seize temporary control of every non-Psionic mind within Near range. For 1 minute:

• All affected creatures act on your commands (as Puppet Strings, but applied to a crowd)
• You can issue different commands to different targets simultaneously
• Affected targets retain their physical skills but lose independent volition

Resist

Each creature may roll ECHO + Focus vs. your Channeling Sum individually. Those who succeed are instead Suppressed for 3 Ticks.

Requirement

The Suicide Limit applies (forcing direct self-harm breaks the control on that individual, per Puppet Strings’ formulation — the target takes 1d6 Strain instead, but the rest of the mass effect continues on the others).

Special

Psionic characters are immune (their connection to the Current shields them from mass-control effects). Targets with ECHO 3+ gain +4 to their resist roll.

Aftermath: When the effect ends, all affected targets take 1d3 Strain and experience acute dissociative shock (−2 dice to all actions for 1 hour). They remember everything — every command, every action their body took without their consent.
