Effect

Touch a Hollow (a creature that has lost all Memories). You take permanent control of them, giving the Hollow purpose, direction, and a fragment of your will. The Hollow becomes your Thrall:

  • Initiative: The Thrall acts on its own Initiative count, but executes only your commands. Issuing commands does not require an action from you (telepathic link at any range)
  • The Thrall uses its own physical stats but your ECHO and Channel for psionic purposes
  • The Thrall does not feel pain, fear, or hesitation
  • The Thrall persists indefinitely — until destroyed, until you release it, or until you die

Requirement

The Cost Beyond Memory: The Thrall is sustained by your psychic energy. While you have an active Thrall, your Strain Cap is permanently reduced by 2. If the Thrall is destroyed, you take 2d6 Strain from the severed connection.

You can only have one Thrall at a time.

Special

The Thrall is not a person — it has no will, no identity, no Memories. It is an instrument.

This is the opposite of The Hollow’s Rest (Bastion Soul R5). Where the Bastion Soul fills the empty vessel with potential (creating a person), the Mindweaver fills it with their own will (creating a slave). The two Miracles are direct moral opposites and can be applied to the same Hollow with conflicting outcomes — though only one can take effect first.

The Circle of Ash considers this Talent an abomination. The Redeemers consider it proof that Mindweavers are monsters.
