Effect
Target one creature within Near range. You erase their ability to think. Not their memories, not their personality — their capacity for conscious thought itself.
The target becomes a living vegetable: breathing, blinking, heart beating, but no one is home. There is no will, no awareness, no experience.
Duration: Permanent. Only another Miracle can reverse it, or a Flesh Shaper attempting Resurrection on a mind (GM adjudicates — this is uncharted territory).
Resist
ECHO + Focus vs. your Channeling Sum. On success, the target is instead rendered unconscious for 24 hours and suffers 1 Erosion.
Special
This is not death. This is worse than death. The body can be kept alive indefinitely.
The Redeemers would burn you alive for this. The Circle of Ash would exile you. Even other Mindweavers would be horrified. Use of this Talent should carry massive narrative consequences — at the GM’s discretion, this may permanently change how factions treat the character, and may attract attention from forces beyond the Veil itself.
