Effect

Resource cost: 1 Mettle + materials.

Given 10 minutes and basic materials (wire, nails, gunpowder, or a single explosive), you can construct one of the following traps in an area you control:

  • Tripwire Alarm: Alerts you when someone enters the area. No damage, but grants you automatic Initiative (Tick 2) against the intruder.
  • Nail Bomb: Deals WR 3 (Scatter) to all creatures within Close range when triggered.
  • Snare: Target is Grappled. Deals no damage.

Resist

  • Nail Bomb: QUICK + Athletics vs. TN 13 to avoid.
  • Snare: IRON + Athletics vs. TN 13 to escape.

Special

You can disarm any mundane trap you encounter automatically (no check), and you identify the trap type and trigger mechanism on sight.
