Effect
Your next shot, if it deals damage, plants a dormant charge in the target. The charge detonates the next time the target takes a physical action (attacking, moving more than a Shift, using an item). Detonation deals damage equal to the original shot’s damage again, ignoring AR. The target must then make GRIT + Resilience (TN 13) or suffer a Grievous Wound.
Steps
The target also takes +1 Strain per Step when the charge detonates.
Special
The target can feel the charge. They know it’s there. If they take no physical actions, the charge fades harmlessly after 1 minute. This creates a devastating tactical dilemma: act and suffer, or freeze and become a non-threat.
